SFM Marine – Northport, as one of Western Australia’s premier marine maintenance companies, our services cover lift and launch, boat engineering, fabrication, boat building, painting, antifouling, prop-speed vessel detailing and marine training. SFM Marine has operations in Henderson and Fremantle, Western Australia.

ABOUT THE JOB

Based in North Fremantle, we are always looking to add experienced welders/fabricators to our team. The responsibilities in this type of role within our business include but are not limited to reviewing drawings and specifications, completing assessments, cutting using hand tools, flame torches or metal cutting machines, reviewing fabricator metal parts for accuracy and using a variety of welding techniques, including bolting and riveting.

ABOUT YOU

Success in our business needs a proven skill-set as a  welder / fabricator. Experience of Mig/Tig – Aluminium and Stainless-steel welding is key with marine repair and construction experience of benefit. Australian recognised trade certificates are essential as well as boat building and fabrication expertise. You are able to work in an autonomous environment, to deadline with little supervision and a current  valid drivers’ licence will be required.
