Diplomat Blades (Aust) Pty Ltd was established in 1972 and in conjunction with its sister company, AED Authority, have established a well-run and successful business from their head office in Dandenong South. The companies are exclusive direct importers and distributors throughout Australia and New Zealand.  Diplomat Blades distributes various high-quality blades to the industry and AED Distributing provides effective and essential heart defibrillators to various users in the market. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing the communication strategies that achieve agreed goals on time and on budget for both companies.

About the role

You will be comfortable in developing and implementing customer promotions to the briefs from the sales force as well as developing and implementing digital communications campaigns that may include multiple digital channels for both the company’s product groups. It is expected that these campaigns will be delivered by outside consultants. You experience to create and implement social media campaigns, is well proven. These campaigns may be run in-house as well. You can produce collateral print material as required, using external creative providers and utilising an in-house graphic designer.

Also required would be the need to manage performance measuring services to monitor the performance of digital campaigns. Part of your brief would be to prepare budget recommendations as well as brief and obtain quotes for external suppliers. You will need to be able to advise sales personnel on creating effective communications and promotions briefs and be comfortable in the management and participation in trade shows and exhibitions.

About you

Success in this role will require you to have proven and demonstrable experience as a Marketing Communications Manager with an understanding of Marketing, Advertising and Digital Marketing. You will have at least four years current experience in all aspects of B2B digital marketing which will cover, social media, particularly YouTube, writing creative briefs, working with creative providers as well as Industry blog creation and participation. You will be comfortable in using digital for PR. Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of tools is essential. Prior experience across other marketing/digital software would be an added advantage. You will have the ability to foster professional relationships and provide guidance and marketing expertise, which will require strong written and verbal communication skills with enviable interpersonal and stakeholder management capabilities.


The successful incumbent will have been working in a marketing role for at least the last five years. You will be an ambitious Marketing Communications Manager looking to bring your previous experience to the role. You are able to prioritise effectively for yourself and you possess a strong work ethic. You have the ability to promote and inspire management with your creative thinking and have the capacity to work across multiple projects. Digital marketing experience is essential for this role

Tertiary qualifications in marketing, advertising or digital marketing will be highly regarded.
