About the Role

As a National Account Manager at Sennheiser you will use your expertise and initiative to assist the business with multiple activities, ranging from increasing our revenue across designated accounts through targeted and planned sales programs, providing specialist advice and solutions for our customers, facilitating relevant product training, maintaining accurate records of market trends and constantly seeking new potential growth areas. You will also act as the conduit between our customers and the broader Sennheiser business ensuring communication channels are effective and mutually beneficial across our Australian and New Zealand retail channels. 

In this busy role, your duties and accountabilities will be extensive and include:

  • Working with the Director of Sales to execute the strategic sales plan across the Australian and New Zealand retail channel
  • Building and maintaining effective business relationships across designated accounts to increase sales revenue and market share.
  • Actively seeking new business opportunities and pursuing these opportunities in a timely and strategic manner.
  • Producing detailed weekly and monthly sales reports for regional tracking
  • Maintaining territory consignment stock through accurate record keeping
  • Providing product training and assistance across accounts as required
  • Attending and participating in brand promotional activities such as trade shows and instore promotions
  • Working with the broader business to ensure customers are provided with the expected “premium” Sennheiser service
  • Participating in both national and international travel (including weekends as business requirements dictate.) 

About you

Success in this role will require you to have proven and demonstrable experience as a National Account Manager within the retail/consumer electronics field. You will need to be able to work with varied global stakeholders, preferably have worked with sound technologies or similar, understand the sales lifecycle within a technology environment, and importantly understand contemporary retail sales issues, solutions, policies and legislative requirements. 

Naturally, experience with the Microsoft Office suite of tools is essential. Prior experience across other software tools in use at Sennheiser include JD Edwards, would be advantageous, however, training will be provided. 

You will have the ability to foster effective mutually beneficial professional relationships and provide expertise and guidance to our key retail accounts. This requires strong written and verbal communication skills, outstanding presentation skills combined with well-developed sales, interpersonal and account management capability.
