This is an exciting opportunity to lead and implement a broad range of contemporary HR and organisational development strategies to build leadership capability in the Bupa BVAC business. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Bring the business context to the People team – deeply understand their financials, key issues, performance, goals, competitive advantages etc. ensuring the design of all People services meet the needs of the business
  • Partner with the BVAC Director to develop and deliver the BVAC strategic (3 –5 years) and operational people priorities to life, sharing the care home & village operational requirements as insight to the broader BVAC People Plan
  • Advise and coach the Chief Operating Officer on talent, succession and leadership, ensuring alignment with the BVAC strategic people plan
  • Manage a team to deliver BVAC talent management practices and initiatives, understanding business demand and supply of talent which will address succession gaps, build capability gaps and develop critical skills
  • Ensure the delivery of cyclical people activities through the care home/village operational leadership teams, ensuring plans are in place to drive engagement and action for cyclical people activities
  • Lead the delivery of monthly analytics/insights to the Chief Operating Officer and their leadership team in order to contribute to better decisions by analysing workforce data, understanding trends and anticipating risks or movement
  • Scope, plan and deliver strategic people initiatives for the care home/villages operation to improve workforce and organisational effectiveness with measurable outcomes
  • Serve as an escalation point on workplace relation’s matters, providing pragmatic and commercial advice, which is legally compliant. Partnering with the subject matter experts in Workplace Relations and Legal

 About You

You hold tertiary qualifications in HR, Organisational Psychology or business disciplines. To be successful in this role you will have significant generalist HR experience at a senior level within a complex matrix organisation. You will have proven experience of designing and executing people plans, leading generalist HR and organisational development strategies. You will have successfully led teams and have the ability to lead through ambiguity and change making a meaningful difference to those on your team and the business.

You have excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop and foster strong relationships with senior leaders in the business, influencing, coaching and advising; providing strategic and operational counsel to the business with regards to HR.
