This is an exciting opportunity to strategically plan for Bupas future workforce, developing strategic workforce plans that drive tangible action to have the right people capability, working in the right ways for the business of the future. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Develop a ‘fit for Bupa’ Strategic Workforce Planning strategy and approach
  • Ensure we have a clear and actionable plan to have the right capabilities working in the right way now and for the future 

  • Develop strategic workforce plans/roadmaps that address critical workforce segments, driving workforce solutions with COE’s, People Directors and other senior stakeholders
  • Partnering with the Capability Development and Talent Teams to ensure we have a clearly defined talent and capability development approach for critical workforce segments and our workforce capability constantly adapts to changing workforce and business needs
  • Using qualitative and quantitative data to establish a clear understanding of the organisation’s direction, its strengths and weaknesses, and the internal and external factors that influence current and future workforce demand and supply
  • Analysing likely changes in capability and capacity of the future workforce and identifying critical gaps between current workforce capabilities and future workforce capability requirements 

  • Co-Facilitate Future Workforce Design events with People Team colleagues and Senior Business Leaders to drive active engagement in Future Workforce design, engaging and influencing leaders to proactively plan and address business and environmental changes using strategic workforce planning and organisation design approaches

About You

You hold tertiary qualifications in HR, OD or business disciplines. To be successful in this role you will have deep expertise in senior people strategy roles with strong OD experience from a large matrixed organisation. You will have demonstrable experience in developing and executing strategic workforce plans to future proof the organisation. Organisational development skills with the design/redesign and implementation of organisation structures including aligning purpose, strategy, functions, structure and job design is key.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven background within workforce planning delivering people metrics using data driven insights. Experience in designing organisational people strategy, or corporate strategy experience with a background in HR/OD would also be beneficial.
