The Property department in this organisation is undergoing the most significant transformation and a number of career-defining opportunities are available.

About the role

 Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Represent and coordinate (where appropriate) all core property functions (particularly Facilities Management, Asset Management and Project Development and Delivery) to support various internal departments
  • Be the key contact person, including receiving and troubleshooting customer feedback with leaders of core property functions
  • Undertake regular and, where required extensive, consultation and customer relationship management of all customers within the specified geographic regions, to resolve their service level requirements, project needs and other property requirements
  • Utilising your extensive aged care, retirement and residential development and operational experience, inform and participate in key business decisions on an ongoing basis with key stakeholders
  • Provide commercial and analytical skills in determining the optimum commercial and customer outcome for each customer’s property needs and, where funding is required, document robust business cases to address project rationale, strategy, risks and commercial outcomes sufficiently for approval
  • Devise and present implementable strategies to optimise the use of capital assets at both a strategic and operational level, bringing to bare your market, regulatory and operational aged care, retirement and residential knowledge
  • Drive pioneering property solutions, whether through design, operations or innovation, to achieve great operational outcomes for the company’s various accommodation and resident based assets
  • Maintain oversight of all major capital projects, property maintenance management and development projects providing performance analysis, evaluation and action planning in line with strategic property management plans
  • Develop effective collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to ensure strategic and operational needs are provided for in Asset Management Plans with clearly defined measurements and deliverables

About You

To be successful in this role you will be tertiary qualified in commerce, business or property.  You will have significant experience in aged care, retirement and social housing, property development and capital works experience as a senior development manager or executive. You will also have proven design, technical and operational experience in the aged care, retirement and social housing sectors, including experience with differing state based planning and compliance requirements.

You will have extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, excellent negotiation, verbal and written communication skills as well as commercial and analytical experience in the assessment of project risks and returns.

Experience and knowledge of the Not-For-Profit sector would be extremely beneficial.
