About the role

The newly formed National Manager, Facilities Management Systems & Operations role is a critical and high profile position within the organisation and will assist in driving & defining success across the national portfolio. It will be responsible for supporting the Facility Management Group in maintaining regulatory compliance and asset maintenance standards by providing a range of facilities management services. Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the establishment, implementation and ongoing refinement of national facilities management software, systems, policies, procedures and operating framework to deliver a consistent, industry best practice facilities management service
  • Define customer requirements & develop a National Property Operational Centre of Excellence operating model including process & policies
  • Establish a central Operations Centre and Helpdesk including telephony system and FM maintenance request web portal to manage all FM centrally
  • Implement and manage the operating model to deliver best practice facility management support services, ensuring processes are in place that support the Facility Management & wider Property Group to deliver & report on key commercial outcomes
  • Identify, develop and manage large-scale and regionally strategic wide sustainability projects to achieve annual savings from approved sustainability initiatives of circa $1m p.a.
  • Lead and manage the Sustainability Manager, Regulatory and Compliance Manager, and National Helpdesk function
  • Develop effective collaborative relationships with Facility Management managers to ensure operational practices comply with regulatory requirements and enhances risk management approaches
  • Build a high performing team culture focusing on process excellence & continuous improvement

About You

To be successful in this role you will be tertiary qualified in property or business. You will have demonstrable experience in building and leading a facilities management and compliance service. You will have strong technical systems, IT and governance expertise in implementing facilities management software as well as developing, training and refining robust policies and procedures across a national and diverse property portfolio.

Your strong communication, customer services and management skills are key along with your experience of developing and implementing facilities management strategies and financial deliverables on time and within budget will give you success in this role.
