About the role

 Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Undertake regular and where required extensive consultation and customer relationship management of all customers within the specified geographic regions, to resolve their service level requirements, project needs and other property requirements
  • Represent and coordinate (where appropriate) all core property functions (Sales & Leasing, Facilities Management and Project Delivery) to support the strategic directives, including receiving and troubleshooting customer feedback with leaders of core property functions
  • Inform and participate in key business decision making, interacting on an ongoing basis with key stakeholders
  • Provide commercial and analytical skills in determining the optimum commercial and customer outcome for each customer’s property needs and, where funding is required, document robust business cases to address project rationale, strategy, risks and commercial outcomes sufficiently for approval
  • Maintain oversight of all major capital projects, property maintenance management and development projects providing performance analysis, evaluation and action planning in line with strategic property management plans
  • Devise and propose well considered innovative property solutions, whether through design, operations, income generating opportunities, capital management structure, etc
  • Analyse and assess service delivery benefits to the organisation and value for money from investment in existing and new assets, throughout the asset life
  • Prepare, review and coordinate the documentation and approval of business cases for new property initiatives, where relating to asset purchase or disposals, investments / developments, leasing or capital management / risk sharing structures
  • Provide sound leadership and direction in maximising the national property portfolio asset usage, value creation and benefits realisation in line with mandated strategic outcomes and customer needs
  • Develop effective collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to ensure strategic and operational needs are provided for in Asset Management Plans with clearly defined measurements and deliverables

 About You

To be successful in this role you will be tertiary qualified in commerce, business or property.  You will have significant experience in briefing, delivering and achieving commercial and customer outcomes in property development and capital works projects in $10m to $100m range as well as a track record in managing and leading a property portfolio including Sales, Leasing, and Facilities Management.

You will have broad property experience across commercial, residential and retail as well as strong analytical and commercial skills in the assessment of property risk and returns. Your extensive stakeholder engagement, customer services, negotiation and influencing skills are key, knowledge or experience within the Not-For-Profit sector would be extremely beneficial.
